Director General of Pharmaceutical and Health Products Regulation Meets Head of Bangladesh Drug Administration

Dr. Hafiz Naimullah Ayubi, Director General of Pharmaceutical and Health Products Regulation under the Food and Drug Deputy Ministry of the Ministry of Public Health, during his official visit to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, met on Wednesday, 2 Sha’ban 1447 AH, with General Dr. Mohammad Shamim Haider, Director General of the Bangladesh Drug Administration, along with his technical team.

During the meeting, both sides discussed a number of important and mutually beneficial issues, including the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Bangladesh Drug Administration and Afghanistan’s Food and Drug Deputy Ministry, facilitation of visa issuance for deputy ministry specialists to inspect pharmaceutical companies registered in Afghanistan, sharing professional experiences to enhance the capacity of Afghan experts, inclusion of medicine retail prices in Afghanis on drug packaging, cooperation in the registration process of newly registered pharmaceutical companies in Afghanistan, and providing price reductions on anti-cancer medicines exported to Afghanistan, along with other related matters.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Bangladeshi side expressed satisfaction with the visit of the Afghan delegation and pledged full cooperation on the issues discussed.
