The third coordination meeting was held at the Ministry of Public Health’s conference hall with the aim of ensuring more effective implementation of the Law on the Prevention of Smuggling of Foodstuffs, Medicines, and Health Products.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Minister of Public Health; His Excellency Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid, Deputy Minister for Food and Drugs; and representatives of the Ministries of Finance, National Defense, Interior Affairs, Industry and Commerce, Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Information and Culture, the Administrative Affairs Office, the General Directorate of Intelligence, Kabul Municipality, the National Standards and Quality Authority, and the Supreme Court.

During the meeting, committees formed from representatives of the aforementioned ministries and institutions shared their views and proposals regarding the effective and transparent implementation of the Law on the Prevention of Smuggling, which has been endorsed pursuant to Decree No. 24 of the Esteemed Leader of the Faithful, may Allah protect him.

His Excellency Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Minister of Public Health, emphasized the serious and necessary implementation of this law, stating that illegal imports of medicines and foodstuffs must be prevented at the borders.
