In line with implementing the directive of the leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan concerning the suspension of medicine imports from Pakistan, a coordination meeting was held at the Food and Medicine Deputyship on Thursday, 18 Rajab 1447 AH, between the Directorate of Pharmaceutical Services, the Directorate of Licensing for Pharmaceutical Establishments, and the Directorate of Document Analysis and Regulation of Activities, aimed at ensuring more effective implementation of the transitional phase plan.
Through holding technical meetings, maintaining continuous coordination with relevant institutions, assessing the domestic market situation, managing existing stocks, and facilitating alternative imports from reliable countries, the Food and Medicine Deputyship strives to prevent any disruption in the supply of medicines and to ensure safe and standard access to quality medicines for citizens.
Officials and representatives of the mentioned directorates emphasized that this plan must be implemented in a phased and well-considered manner so that the process of providing pharmaceutical services is not affected and public interests are safeguarded.
It is worth noting that the implementation period of this plan extends until the end of the month of Hoot of the current year.
